In recent months, the 2021 Ford F-150 has received several awards from Kelley Blue Book, including a Best Buy Award and a first-place finish at the Five Year Cost to Own Awards. After KBB’s recent Brand Watch Study, they found that the Ford F-150 was the most-shopped non-luxury vehicle in Q2 2021.
The Ford F-150 saw a 13% increase in consumer interest, while the Ford F-Series saw a 22% increase. In Q2, 31% of non-luxury buyers considered a pickup truck. Ford Authority reported last week that Ford continues to surpass Toyota as the most trusted brand. It gained two percentage points to reach 31% in Q2. Both automakers have had to deal with production problems in recent months due to the shortage of semiconductor chips, but they have managed to retain consumer interest.
